With a passion for the search industry, Vivek has spent the last 10 yrs in the field of interactive marketing. He is the founder of Communicate 2 which launched itself as a full fledged interactive agency and has evolved into a search specialist organization. Vivek personally feels that the future of advertising lies in contextual advertising, and it will require a balance of technology and a large team of people to cater to the growing needs of the industry. He is focused on building Communicate 2 into a 1000 people search firm from the current strength of 80+ people organization.
As the chairman of SEMPO India, Vivek is primarily focused on spreading awareness about search marketing in emerging markets. He is a known speaker who is regularly invited to speak at venues such as Rotary Regional Conferences, Chambers of Commerce, and Management Colleges in India and abroad. His professional memberships include the Young Entrepreneurs Organization.
Vivek also spent 2 years in Dubai, understanding how the media markets of Middle East and Africa function. He has traveled to more than 40 countries on various consulting and project assignments and has been on the board of various software and internet based companies, including a software distribution company he consulted and formed in Bangladesh. Vivek regularly speaks at global events such as Ad-tech, SES, SMX, I-com and the Apex Internet conferences in India. He is also a regular guest faculty at top technical colleges such as IIT and Business Schools such as IIM in India. He spoke at the Entrepreneurs‘Organization University in Singapore in Nov'08. Vivek is very avid about sports, he has played Table Tennis for the state, is a keen chess player and an amateur paragliding pilot. On a personal note Vivek's knowledge about the Search Industry is second to none and he is without doubt the main driving force behind the success of Communicate 2. |
